Adv. Shareef is a prominent Kerala lawyer and has been playing a pivotal role in the set up of the Foundation right from the beginning. He is actively in supporting several social and cultural activities in his hometown.

With his deep and abiding interest in philosophy as well as a compassionate nature, Srini Kaundinya directs the General Healthcare interests of the Sarojini Damodaran Foundation. His rich experience in the software industry combined with his philanthropic bent has turned his friendship into an enduring commitment towards the welfare of underprivileged children in need of healthcare, so that they can have a bright future. His other areas of interest are the welfare of girl children and women’s empowerment.

Abhilash Kumar Y had a commendable stint of over 18 years at Infosys Ltd and he was the Regional Manager of Infosys Ltd., Trivandrum. At Infosys he was instrumental in setting up campus and operations of the campuses at Pune, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Mysore, Bangalore and Trivandrum. He handled mission critical engagements at Infosys and has expertise in Infrastructure Development, Operations Management, Corporate Relations and Facilities Management.

Currently after a successful career at Infosys, Abhilash joined Uralungal Labour Contract Co-operative Society Limited (ULCCS Ltd.) a 95 year old labor cooperative society based at Kozhikode, as CEO. ULCCS is a pioneer in the Infrastructure development and been rated as the best labour cooperative in the country and endorsed by UNDP as a unique model for sustainable rural development. Abhilash was associated with the board of ULCCS Ltd. since 2011 as their Management Advisor and has successfully guided its business diversification activities over the years. The most notable entities are UL Cyber Park, which is the first IT SEZ Park in North Kerala and UL Technologies Solutions, an IT solutions company which was incubated in 2012 and now a market leader in GIS domain, with three successful ERP products.

Abhilash works closely with the Government of India, Government of Kerala and Industry Associations for the promotion of the Industry in the state and now engaged with promoting Kozhikode as the third IT destination in the state.

Abhilash holds a Post Graduate Degree in Management from Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode and a Master’s Degree from the University of Pune. He is also a certified Lead Auditor of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Systems and Business Continuity Management Systems (BCMS).

Dr Sreeja Sreedhar, Project Director (Health) has been with the Sarojini Damodaran Foundation for the last 5 years. She deals with the Healthcare activities of SDF, including Ayur Raksha, which provides financial aid to underprivileged pediatric patients through 10 major hospitals in Bangalore.

Dr Sreeja also serves as the Assistant Director, Administration and Finance, for the Advaith Foundation. A veterinarian by profession, Dr Sreeja has worked with the Kerala Government in diverse fields for 14 years. From teaching higher secondary students at a vocational training institute to planning, training and finance, she brings with her vast experience in the many aspects of project management and operations..

Rohit Shenoy is the Associate Director for Vidyadhan, our flagship scholarship program. His passion is to work for the development of the economically disadvantaged, women in particular. He has prior experience in Program Management, Sales, Strategy and Client Relationship Management in both the Social and Corporate sectors.

Before joining the Sarojini Damodaran Foundation, he was a part of the Corporate Planning and Client Services groups in a global IT firm and later headed a national program for women's empowerment at a Hyderabad-based not-for-profit organisation. He is an Engineering graduate from Manipal Institute of Technology and a MBA graduate from Cardiff Business School.

Dr. Murali Kota is the Group Executive Vice President for Technology and Innovation, The Manipal Group and the Co-founder and CEO of Vijña Labs. Till recently, Murali was a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff for Advanced Technology Development at GlobalFoundries and a Chief Technologist of IBM India Semiconductor Research and Development Center. While at IBM and GlobalFoundries, Murali has led theory and modeling of semiconductor nanomaterials, device and process technologies. He has also led IBM's initiative on solar-water cooled-HVDC based energy efficient data center technology and IoT projects on Smart Water Networks. While at MIT, for MS and Ph.D., Murali was focused on Superconducting and Spin-Based Quantum Devices and Computing and Magnetic Resonance-Based Quantum Information Processing.

He is a recipient of several awards, including the US DoE HPC4Mfg Grant Award, Best of IBM Award, two IBM Outstanding Technical Achievement Awards, INSA, and NASI Young Scientist Award, INAE Young Engineer Award and MRSI Medal. Murali has over 75 journals/ conference papers and 35 issued/filed US patents.

Meera Rajeevan, is the Program Director for Vidyadhan, our flagship scholarship program. Meera brings with her a lot of passion to the cause of underpriviliged and over twenty years of leadership experience in the IT industry.She holds masters in management from International Management Institute and B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering.

S.D. Shibulal is the co-founder of Infosys. His responsibilities at Infosys included fostering innovation, leadership, teamwork and work values within the organization. Like Kumari, his love for children and the need to give back to society has found fruition in a number of charitable endeavours. The Sarojini Damodaran Foundation and other charitable organisations like The Samhita Academy & Advaith Foundation bear testament to this. In 2014, Shibu co-founded Axilor Ventures – a new generation platform to improve odds of success of entrepreneurs.

Mrs. Kumari Shibulal is the Founder - Patron of The Advaith Foundation and a Trustee of The Sarojini Damodaran Foundation (SDF). Under her leadership, the Foundations have gone from strength to strength. Her love for children and vision to transform lives through education led her to form two flagship long-term initiatives under The Advaith Foundation: Ankur, a comprehensive residential program in 2004 and The Samhita Academy in 2007. She is the backbone of SDF’s constantly growing entities expanding the Foundation’s reach to various causes including education (Vidyadhan and Vidyarakshak), child healthcare (Ayurdhan), organic farming (Akshaya Sree Awards) and social causes (Harishree) in different parts of the country. She has also launched Organic World, Bangalore – a retail initiative to encourage the cause of organic production and consumption.

Gaurav brings his experience as a strategy and technology consultant. A graduate of Boston University, Gaurav has consulted in the past to companies from various industries. He is currently involved in the areas of Entrepreneurship and Social Investment while being completely committed to the field of education.

As someone who has the student perspective on top schools, Shruti finds that one of the key aspects of continuous, everyday learning lies simply in being happy to go to school. Vidyadhan is one of the projects closest to her heart. Shruti firmly believes that enjoying the many hours spent within a school campus, whether they are in class, in the playground, or over lunch with friends, makes all the difference to a child's mental development, attitude and personality.

Shreyas is the Founder and Director of Micelio, the first-of-its-kind catalyst in the electric mobility value curve. Micelio Fund is India’s first seed fund focused solely on startups in the clean mobility space. Micelio Design Studio is a collaborative workshop space with the latest infrastructure, which startups can use as a hub for prototyping and designing new products. Shreyas holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Haverford College, and an M.S. in Embedded Systems from the University of Pennyslvania’s School of Engineering and Applied Science. He is very proud of the impact created by the Sarojini Damodaran Foundation and looks forward to supporting the team in the journey towards greater heights.

Jacob completed his Bachelors in Commerce from St. Josephs College, Trichy which counts Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam amongst its illustrious alumni. His passion to make a positive difference to the lives of the needy led him to pursue his Masters in Social work (Community Development). He is immensely passionate about doing field work and community engagement activities.

Sanjana completed her Graduation in Computer Science Engineering from the College of Engineering, Roorkee and her Post-graduation in Marketing from Banasthali University. When she found her calling for the social sector, she went on to start her own organization, "Praharsh" working towards building model villages. She later worked with The Ashoka Innovators for the Public (world's largest network of social innovators & entrepreneurship) in their operations and marketing strategy team of the Youth Venture program. Amongst other things, she has worked closely with teen changemakers at TEDx. After Ashoka, she worked as a Communications Lead in Mantra4Change before joining SDF where she is co-leading marketing outreach, communications and engagement with stakeholders (Alumni, students, sponsors & partners) of the Vidyadhan program

Bhuvaneshwari Shurpali is Program Coordinator for Vidyadhan Scholarship Program in Maharashtra and Gujarat states. She is keen on bringing more and more needy and deserving students under the umbrella of Vidyadhan. She is also enabling students with soft skills training.

She is also a professional Life Skills Trainer with 13 years of experience. She has rich experience of working with NGO’s, Education Consultancies and Corporate Companies. She has trained more than 10K students, teachers and professionals in her career.

Umasankar completed his Masters in Social Work (Rural Development) from Tata Institute of Social Sciences. He was awarded a two-year fellowship from Tata Institute of Social Sciences for Tribal Community development at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. He has over 6 years’ work experience in the Development sector, particularly in Livelihoods, Education, FPOs promotions, Micro-finance and Social Mobilisation in different States of India. His expertise lies in planning and management of development programs with a focus on innovation and participatory development. He also has a wide breadth of experience in marketing particularly in the Pharma sector where he worked from 2004 to 2010.

Vishwa completed his Masters in Social Work from SDM College in Dharmastala, his Post Graduate Degree in Human Resources from Annamalai University and completed MBA from Kuvempu University. He has a comprehensive 13 years’ experience in the Development sector, particularly in education. His passion for working towards the socio-economic development of the economically disadvantaged is the driving force behind his expertise in field-work, operations and stakeholder engagement.

With over 30 years of teaching experience, including stints as University Physics professor and Vice Principal at SD College, Alappuzha, Prof. Ramanand has been instrumental in driving the SDF programs right from inception stage. He has been actively involved in various social activities such as the National Service Scheme (NSS). He has been a great mentor to his students inside and outside the class room and considers his continuing relationship with his students as his biggest and unique strength. He has been able to motivate his students to contribute to the society.
His favourite motto is “Love your profession, whatever it may be, as when you do, it ceases to be a job or task, but something that makes you happy.” He has applied that principle to his activities at SDF, resulting in the successful implementation of all programs in Kerala including the Scholarship Program, Pension Scheme and the Award for Organic Farming.

Bhairavi is an alumnus of the prestigious Huntsman Program in International Studies and Business at the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania.She holds the unique honor of being the first Indian woman to be accepted to this program. After graduation, she completed stints in private equity, strategy consulting and retail research across three continents, and ultimately came back to India with the intention of setting up sustainable businesses with a social conscience. She is passionate about innovations in healthcare, organic farming and education and is very honored to be a part of the Sarojini Damodaran Foundation.
